There is a sign on the highway that I regularly drive past which states in big, bold black letters THINK FOR YOURSELF. Whenever I pass that sign, it always brings a smile to my face. We can take in all of the information from outside resources, friends, family, the news and everyone else on social media, but ultimately the decision comes down to us. What is our innate intuition telling us?
Our inner Self is the truest and most honest person we can ask. We can ask everyone else for all of the advice, but in the end, we know our self the best. Sometimes that voice gets lost in the shuffle of fear, anger and anxiety, but it is always waiting to tap into.
When fear remains present how can we tap into that inner wisdom?
Find a quiet space away from distractions of family, loud noises and obligations. Try asking yourself a few of the following questions:
• What brings me joy?
• How do I want to be for myself?
• What am I grateful for?
Sometimes it is helpful to imagine a light of color at our heart to bring focus to our energy. The answers might not come the first time you try, but the more you take this time to connect the easier it becomes to listen.
In the end, YOU already have within you the wisdom and knowledge. Trust your intuition.
