Give yourself a permission slip

What do you need to give yourself permission to do? Author and speaker, Brené Brown talks about this with her work related to vulnerability and something we discussed in a training I was part of last weekend. The concept of giving ourselves permission made me pause. How can we be daring and authentic if we are allowing our self to stand in our own way? When we give ourselves permission to do something, we allow ourselves to change our behavior and to intentionally move toward what we really want. Ideas of permission slips can include:

Let go and release the past

Focus on what fulfills me

Focus on having those around me who uplift me rather than bring me down

Sit in my power daily in the AM

Feel what I feel today and not be told it is not relevant or worthy

Choose to allow the thoughts, actions and relationships in my life that align with my values.

When we give ourselves permission to feel, think, believe and do we are living out our best self. Who do you want to become? What are you giving yourself permission to do?
