“I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious.”
– Albert Einstein
Stay curious is my motto in life. When we stay curious, we explore and are open to the possibilities and adventures around us.
We are naturally wired to be curious. Often though, that can diminish when we are facing challenges, goals or as we age. What if we approach every challenge or goal from a place of curiosity? It can serve to improve our well-being and even trigger dopamine in the brain! In addition, adding curiosity to our toolkit can stretch our ways of thinking and increase our skills and knowledge base.
How can we cultivate more curiosity in our lives?
• Always be open to learning. Knowledge truly is power and when we approach every adventure with a beginner mindset, the potential is unlimited!
• Stop and look for new discoveries. Even if it is the same walk that you do every day, find one new thing that you have never noticed before. This immediately pulls us into the present moment.
• Listening before telling. When we are open to hearing, we are also open to receiving new ideas.
• Embrace our inner child. Children are naturally curious, but we can reclaim this in our lives too!
